Rincon’s Message: Check Out Men’s Tennis

Filed under: Uncategorized — magdebar @ 12:20 am

In an interview with UM Men’s Tennis Coach Mario Rincon, I asked Rincon if there was anything he wanted to say that he didn’t get a chance to. This, in part, was his response:

“I think college tennis in general is a great product. It’s entertaining once you understand it and you get into it. It’s a fun sport to watch and people don’t come to it enough. I would like for more people to come to our matches and check it out and give it an opportunity.”

That’s what I call a challenge.

Rincon talked about the emotion of the game, the intensity of the rivalries, and how college tennis is dependent on all the courts being used. I’ll be at the team’s next match Sunday against Georgia Tech and will report back here. I hope to see some of you out there too.
