Do Knicks Deserve “Big Three” Title?

Filed under: Uncategorized — gvclark @ 11:33 pm

One night after the upset the New York Knicks delivered to the Heat in Miami leaves a single question: why is Chauncey Billups so underrated? I’m not going to argue that Billups is the best player in the NBA but have we forgotten all of his previous accomplishments. The man is in fact a four-time NBA All-Star, a NBA Finals MVP, and  owns his own championship ring. After reviewing the trending topics on twitter from last nights game, there seems to be a census that Billups deserves to be included in the Knicks very own version of “The Big Three.” Many fans of basketball questioned why Ray Allen was immediately included in Boston’s original “Big Three” while poor Mr. Billups has had to prove himself to the media. I’m not suggesting that Billups will have an outstanding run as a Knick, or will lead his new team to the NBA promise land. I just think the man deserves a little more respect.

  1. Playing in Denver’s never going to help someone gain the spotlight. He’s got plenty of respect, he’s just getting old now. He’s 34 years old and making 13 million dollars, can’t say that’s not respect.

  2. Hes a good player but hes old and inconsistent. He not gonna do that night in and night out. Hes not a top five pg in this league and you cant go by prior achievements especially since he was on a stacked Pistons team.
