Down 49-41 at the half, the Hurricanes came back with a typically strong second half.  They outscored the Eagles by 19 points in the second half on their way to beating Boston College 90-80 on Thursday night.

The Canes (23-3, 9-2 ACC) began the second half on a 12-0 run, and although the game was tied at 73 with 5 minutes left, Miami, led by Shenise Johnson, outscored BC 17-7 in those final minutes.  Johnson finished with 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists.  Riquna Williams had 25 points, 23 of which were scored in the second half.

The game also totaled 170 points, which is fairly remarkable in a women’s baseketball game that ends in regulation.

It is the fifth time the Canes scored 90+ points this season.  They are, not surprisingly, 5-0 in those games.

Miami continues to polish their resume, and plays Wake Forest on Monday night at the BankUnited Center.  They have yet to lose at home this season and have now won their third game in a row after a difficult loss at Duke.
