First Half Impressions

Filed under: Uncategorized — magdebar @ 2:13 pm

Watching the first half of this Heat/Celtics game and my primary thought is this: Could this game be any more sloppy?

Missed shot…turnover…missed shot…turnover…missed dunk (it’s gonna take a while to live that one down, Glen Davis).

All of that gives us a halftime score of 43-39, Heat.

Boston shot 37% in the first half, due in part to a struggling performance from Paul Pierce. Pierce is 0-7 on field goals, his lone point courtesy of a free throw.

Luckily for Boston, Miami is playing just as poorly. The Heat tallied 12 turnovers (8 in the second quarter).

This game looks like it was the first one of the season for these two teams: low-scoring and plagued with turnovers. Both are still in it but whoever winds up winning will need to control the ball and start knocking down easy shots.
