East Up for Grabs

The Miami Heat (39-14) and Boston Celtics (38-14) are battling it out in the Garden right now for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics held that spot for most of the season…Until they lost at home Thursday night to the Lakers. Miami, meanwhile, holds an 8 game win streak.

Boston is 2-0 in the series this season but the Heat (and MVP candidate LeBron James) are playing too well right now. The Celtics currently trail 15-20 at the end of the first.

Don’t count out the Celtics just yet though. They have too many weapons on their team. I think they’ll make a comeback…But I’m still taking Miami in a close one. Who do you have?

  1. You might want to stop taking Miami against good teams from the East. They’re only 3-7 against the Celtics, Bulls, Magic and Hawks, the four other top teams. I don’t know what it is about their inability to pull out close games against the elite, but they better fix something (maybe Mike Miller’s shooting stroke?) if LeBron doesn’t want another early playoff exit.
