TNT Scoreboard

Filed under: Uncategorized — joeyheld @ 11:07 pm

This is only mildly irritating, but it’s getting to the point of being ridiculous. Whoever is controlling the graphic for TNT’s NBA scoreboard has the itchiest trigger finger I’ve ever seen. James Harden just hit a 3 to move the Thunder’s lead from five to eight. The scoreboard, though, said the lead was at eight before the ball even bounced on the ground. My friends and I were sitting there, wondering when the score would change to 11. After all, he just made a three, right? It wasn’t until Kevin Harlan announced Oklahoma City’s eight-point lead that we realized the graphic had already changed.

Of course I’m just getting worked up over nothing. But it just seems EXTREMELY quick to change. Watch for it the next time you check out an NBA game on TNT. But don’t blink (or look at the action, just focus on the scoreboard, or you’ll miss it changing and be left out in the cold as to the actual score.
