McNabb Trade

Filed under: Uncategorized — jbassman @ 8:04 pm

On what I thought was going to be one of the worst sporting days of the year with baseball returning, a glimmer of hope has emerged thanks to the NFL. Somehow the Eagles decided to trade Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins for two draft picks. This trade gives the Redskins a proven leader, and the ability to now draft an offense lineman with their 1st pick which is needed a great deal, especially with the retirement of Chris Samuels. We will see how motivated McNabb will get playing his former team twice, as well as how Kevin Colb or Michael Vick can fare as the starter. Eagles fans who wanted him out for years finally got their wish, the question is how will it work out going forward.

  1. It is sad that the best time of the year for Redskins fans is always in the offseason. With that said, this trade pumps me up. Hopefully we can get one of the two picks back with trading Campbell. While I am definitely reserving all positive emotions about the upcoming season for some victories, I must admit that I like where this staff is going. McNabb needs to change the attitude and mental makeup of the football team for the trade to really be a success for the skins. Can’t wait for the Philly games.
