Who will challenge Lebron?

The first three quarters of the NBA All Star game are always reserved for careless play, huge dunks, and streetball like defense.  But I will be waiting to see who steps up for the Western Conference in the fourth quarter when both teams are actually trying to win the game.

One can only assume that Lebron James will take on that challenge for the East, but with no Kobe Bryant, the West will be looking for someone to emerge as that go-to player above all others in the NBA.  Despite studs like Dirk Nowitzki, Carmelo Anthony and Tim Duncan, my bet is on the 21 year old reserve who is making his first All Star appearance. Kevin Durant.

Durant scored an amazing 46 points in the Rookie-Sophomore game last year and will undoubtedly try to throw up as many shots as possible again tonight.  Until the game anyone’s guess is as good as mine, but with the way he puts up points, I think it is safe to say that Durant will not go out of this game quietly.
