Miami Baseball team looks to forget the past

Filed under: Uncategorized — Ryan Evan Rose @ 4:44 pm

I know I’m not the only one who watched the Canes fall apart last year. That was sure a tough pill to swallow, it could be considered even worse of a choke than the 4 consecutive Super Bowls that the Buffalo Bills lost in the 90’s. Actually that is an overstatement nothing in sports is worse than that.

So how will this years team rebound?….How can they losing top notch players such as Yonder Alonso to Major League Baseball?

Miami is ranked 14th in the USA Today/ESPN preseason coaches’ poll as they have filled in the gaps with some new prospects with names like Chris Herrmann, Scott Lawson, Harold Martinez, Nathan Melendres, and Taylor Wulf.

They started practicing just this week for the 2009 season.  Their first game is against Rutgers on the 20th.

Miami has a good attitude with some players saying that they want to earn back the respect of people this year by trying to win it all.

That is a humorous thing to hear after all, a statement like that takes alot of guts from a team that was the laughing stock of baseball just a short time ago.
