Lady Canes Pull Out A Come From Behind Victory Yet Again

Filed under: Uncategorized — csnymiami @ 9:00 pm

I dont know about you, but I think I might have grown in a few gray hairs from this weekend’s women’s tennis match against Duke.

The #12 ranked Miami women’s tennis team pulled out another come from behind victory as they defeated #6 ranked Duke 4-3 Friday at the Niel Schiff Tennis Center.

The Canes started off strong winning the doubles point (their first in 6 matches), but the match quickly became tied at 1-1 with a loss at #3 singles. Bianca Eichkorn regained the 2-1 lead with a win at #4 singles, but not long after the score was back to 2-2 when Caren Seenauth took a loss at #5. With split wins at #1 and #2 singles, it came down to sophomore Claudia Wasilewski who picked up a close 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 win at #6.

The Canes celebrate Senior Day/Kids day as they take on UNC tomorrow at home @ noon.
